As a convert to the church in 1972, I heard of Joseph Smith and several of the apostles being so intrigued with the Bible and the restoration that they were reprimanded by the Lord (D&C 84:57,58) for not teaching from the Book of Mormon. One of the reasons I performed this study was to see why they were so interested in the Bible. I was exhilarated to learn of how perfect the teachings of Joseph Smith were, especially in relation to the Bible. To the friends of the LDS Church and the LDS members who are questioning the teachings of Josep Smith, I have written this book for you. With the large amount of anti-Mormon literature out there...one of the most popular teachings is that "the Mormons have their own Bible and do not believe in the Christian Bible." I use the premise that if God really did call a prophet of God to lead His church, then that prophet's teachings and organization would be perfect, especially in relationship to the Bible. To all who are anti-Mormon (i.e. religious leaders, or simply sincere Christians) this book is not written for you. It is best that you back out of this website. If you decide to read the Beware the Serpent I ask that you keep an open mind, sincerely study each topic and then apply the Biblical Support Challenge to your church or personal beliefs. After you finish there will be a very good chance that you will find out who the true so-called religious deceivers are in the Christian world. This information is important to know because Christ Himself said that many of the people who profess to follow Christ will not be in the Kingdom of God.
